No love lately
This is more of a rant than asking for stradegy, so feel free to move the post if need be.
I've been running HORRIBLE lately. Anywhere from big losses to small wins. I've starting clearing a bonus on Riverbelle and I'm running below 1bb/100 so far (not a huge sample size, but still). I did take some bad beats, but I'm starting to wonder if I've developed a new leak somewhere.
My AGG factor in PT has been pretty low compared to low so I've been trying to be more aggressive. Maybe I'm trying to be TOO aggressive and trying to take down pots where I've totally missed the flop with stupid bets.
Dumb game; just when you start to think you've got if figured out, WHAM!

Maybe post your stats? Hell I've posted all mine for the world to see it's already given me some things to think about. Come join me in baring it all.....it's fun . The only place I'm convinced I can make $ so far is on Stars.

I was just coming here to post something similar, lol.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do in this kind of situation? I've been in a huge slump over the last couple of days and it seems like every move I make is the wrong one. I'm having trouble figuring out what, if anything, I'm doing differently and therefore can't really seem to find the leak in my game. Should I stop playing for awhile and see if that helps? Are there any tricks that you guys use to help find your own leaks? Does anyone have any suggestions at all on how to deal with these rough patchs?
Just an FYI, here's what my last week looks like:
02-May-06 -$32.20
03-May-06 -$16.10
04-May-06 $18.70
05-May-06 $47.00
06-May-06 $24.50
07-May-06 -$99.75
08-May-06 -$45.30
09-May-06 -$58.00

Gir,
I tend to get in trouble when I look at my #'s and try to "get more aggressive". There are times when you need to be aggressive, and times when you need to slow down. Let those times occur naturally. Sometimes you will be in spots where pure aggressive works for long stretches and you will look like a maniac.......
it all balances out in the end....play YOUR game. Let everything else come out in the wash.

If it wasn't for the whoring, I'd be playing at Paradise all the time. I've had more success there than anywhere else (WE NEED A PARADISE RELAOD)!! Stars is my 2nd best site. I really do want to get good enough to beat the good sites though.
It just so happens I brought my laptop in today to review some of my hands from last night. I'll post my stats, but is there a way to get stats like aggression facto for just the last month or two? If I've developed a new leak, it could be masked by looking at ALL the hands in my DB.

Mc.....I think this game comes in bunches...good runs and bad runs occur all the time. Stats even out and you can't let runs bother you.
What I try to do (and I am getting better at this) is taking it one hand at a time and leaving it at that. I admittedly sometimes let the bad runs (and beats) get in my head, but you have to accept that over time you will average your average and ignore the runs.
I'm coming off a bad week too, and aside from a few hands where I played scared, I did a great job of putting it out of my head and fighting through it.

I'll try not to let it get to me.
I find one my biggest problems right now is the fact that I find myself getting too attached to my hands. Because the cards have been running so bad for me, if I flop something like 2 pair, I'm just not willing to let it go....regardless of the action at the table. I just lost a $25 buy-in at the $0.25 table because I couldn't lay down my 2 pair in the face of a fairly obvious set.

Yeah I'm waiting for a Paradise reload also....although I ran like hell there but I'll go it again.
Anyway, I'm not sure about limiting your aggy factor....Maybe if you've been whoring on some new sites. Go into "peferences" and just check the boxes on the newer sites you've been playing, and see if that does anything. (Ex. if you've been whoring on Prima, uncheck all the other sites and see if that changes anything?) It's reasons like this I voted Marm as the "go to" member for PT info, I sure I still don't know half of what PT can do.

I know you can limit by date for most of the stats, but I was under the impression that when you clicked the "more details" button it still showed stats for all your hands. Maybe I'm misremembering.
