What are my odds on this hand?
I keep getting drawn out on hands exactly the same to these - where the guy has 1 live card. I really do mean this. The past 2 days have been hell for these hands cus i just never seem to get them. What are the odds and maybe it'll explain if im suffering for serious bad luck or it's pretty normal. I especially hate it when i bubble SNGs through this kind of bad luck:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: ITH Forums)
Hero (t1280)
UTG (t4120)
Button (t8200)
SB (t1400)
Preflop: Hero is BB with , .
2 folds, SB completes, Hero raises to t1255, SB calls t855.
Flop: (t2385) , , (2 players)
Turn: (t2385) (2 players)
River: (t2385) (2 players)
Final Pot: t2385
Results in white below:
Hero has Kh 6c (three of a kind, nines).
SB has Kc 4c (full house, nines full of fours).
Outcome: SB wins t2385.

The odds are irrelevant.
Why did you push?
Were you hoping to steal the blinds or did you think you would get called by a worse hand?
Given the size of his stack he was bound to call with any two.

When you get yourself down to 3 or 4 BB, maybe getting called like this ISN'T your biggest concern.

did you see the size of MY stack?
the sb flat called - ALWAYS a sign of weakness when blinds are that big unless u get a smart ass flat clalign with AA, AK or whatnot.
the fact is i had to push - the blinds were 200, 400 with a 25 ante and i was getting eaten up. I pushed thinking i was ahead as flat calls with a short stack ALWAYS mean marginal hands (he would go all in with Ax as he had been before).. I reraised all in which was the right move and then got called by what was a marginal hand.
What i want to know are the odds of me winning. It's besides the point whether it was a good play or not.

I think this is a good push . . . . you've got 4 bb left, so you're pretty much dead meat if you fold. . . particularly since the big stack is in the BB when you're the button.
K-high is a great hand against a weak player like this who obviously doesn't like his hand that much . . . In fact, I would push with anything here . . . . . the SB is the only one who actually might fold against you (but I doubt it). He's the one you're really up against on the bubble, so I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go right at him and try and $ this thing.
If you think of it this way, if you win he's toast and you $. King high is a favorite against any random hand . . . . but even if you're dominated you're going to win about 25-30% of the time . . . . that translates directly into an ITM% of 25-30% . . . not horrible given your unfortunate position.

The push is retarded.
Tell me ONE good reason why pushing is a better idea than Checking here?
I'm not going to delve into the details, but if you want my full umph behind it, find the threads on "KQo in the BB" both on here and on Pokerypages. (Those who remember, probably don't want to dreg that up, it was civily ugly)

my reasons for pushing is that the BB is 400.. my stack is 1k. Im on the BB and i am flat called by a short stack which represents a very marginal hand at this point. Unless he was slow playing a monster i am very likely ahead. I know from the play he had been making that with any A he would push all in and with any pocket he would push all in - i figured i had him covered with K high so i went for it. Does that justify it in your opinion?

I don't mind the push here....of course it all depends on your read of the SB and, perhaps more importantly, your own table image. If you've made this same move a lot recently (pushing all in from the BB when no one has shown strength) then now is probably not the time to be doing it again.
