Default Aggressive Restealing in Limit

Now I know this is an extreme case but I absolutely love how I played this hand. This guy had been trying to steal my big blind from the small blind about 7 straight times. I let him have a few then I nailed him for 4 straight wins when he tried it (totalling about $30 profit in 4 hands to his $6 he picked up). This was the first one I won.

Party Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $2/$4
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with
3 folds, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls.

Flop: (4SB, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (3BB, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB folds.
Uncalled bets: 1BB returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: 7BB

Now would all the limit players explain how they handle resteals? It doesn't really apply to anything below 1/2 because no one folds to a resteal. On second thought, no one knows what a resteal is below 1/2.

I normaly resteal with any 2 broadway, any A any K8s, K9 or better, Q9s or better, any pair.

I will also resteal with weaker hands VS very agressive BSB players. I will also resteal with any 2 after 2 cosectives fold on a steal attemp.

I rarely go as far as you did in a resteal attpt... but if you had a strong read that he could fold... I guess thats right...

To be honest, I'm not a great FLH plyer. Profitable one at 2/4 thats all.

I dont even play limit very much anymore. I tried it a few years ago cause I felt it was the way to go. Finaly I found out MTT SNG and NL cash were better games for me.

BTW, I guess Steal and restal may be y biggest weakness at FLH. I think I'm a bit over agrressive stealing, and under agressive restealing...

I think steals and restealing is one of the most difficult things in limit hold'em. Once you play enough hands all other preflop decisions become pretty mindless except for the restealing issue. It is much more of a "feel" thing..
I like how you played it - it is critical that you reraise the turn checkraise since your hand has little to no showdown value. I see alot of intermediate players lose their resolve and just call there which is totally useless - raise or fold situation every time.
Actually, I think that one way for people to sort of "learn" the stealing issues involved is to play "raise or fold" every street. In these situations whether you are the stealer or the stealee - the best way to play is often to either raise/reraise or to fold on every street (except maybe the river). No calling at all unless you think a checkraise will work.
