Big hand; CL vs. 2nd
Stars $1.20 45 person tourney. Button was solid. Seemed to play standard TA poker. I was on a nice rush and really bullying the table. He had just doubled up AA vs QQ and was the only stack that could do major damage to me.
At the final table, 2500 had been my standard open raise and I had won 3-4 uncontested pots with that raise and once with an all-in caller. I showed 88 once and busted the caller with AK. Though I was bullying, I only showed good hands.

I suck at mtt's. But if that was your standard raise I think he has At-AQ and since u are known as a bully he thinks he is probably ahead.

I don't like the call on the flop. There are not that many cards in the deck that you want to see fall on the turn, there are quite a few that you don't, and there are even more that will come as bricks, so the situation will not get any better at best. He's most likely going to bet the turn if you do call the flop; will you be willing to call him, even if it is a brick?
Either fold on the flop, or push it all in.
BTW, what did he have? Your "results in white below" don't have a hand for Mr. BB.

what the hell.. i dont get this.. what exactly was ur reasoning on folding the turn??
u have TPTK here on a NICE BOARD. The only hands that beat u here are 88 and AA. AA would have re-raised pf. 88 isnt going to be raising that flop.
You have AK here, i seriously dont get why u are folding the turn.
Most likely villian has AQ here and u just made a bad fold.
Flop: re-raise push him all in.
no offense man, but this is the most weak-tight shit i have ever seen.

I had to reread that a few times cause I thought I was missing something.
For the few times you are beat there, you are ahead a lot more.
Your play looks like a continuation bet followed by demonstrated weakness with the flop call.
The check on the turn says you missed the flop (unless you are really tricky).
Yes you might be beat, but he could easily have a weaker ace.
At the very least call the turn and pay off his A8s, the fold is very weak.

After his min-raise on the flop, I am pushing it in right there 95% of the time. Hell, I suck so probably 100% despite any reads I might have.

I may even be pushing this preflop. I like being really aggressive this short handed.
Especially with this range of stacks.

Same here...
I dont see what you are so scared off...
Only had that beats you are AA and a hand with an 8.
Even if some player will raise some flop with trips, its very unlikely he's doing it here... IMO, hes just trying to semi bluff it to see if you have the A...
He just took the opportunity you gave him to kick you out by checkiing the turn.
He probably have Ax or a mid PP...
