who won, the only thing it looked like you coulda got screwed over here was by a higher set or a straight, then i don't really see how you played the hand wrong..

You have to raise this PF, you can't open limp from MP2 with anything here if you are gonna play raise.

Since you did raise PF, I pop the flop, they will think you are full of it and it really disguises your hand. They may think you have an overpair, they aren't gonna think you have a set. But here you got away with the smooth call and got alot of action on the turn.

I don't really see what you have to question about this hand, raising the flop in my mind is optimal in this situation but it's a fine play to wait till the turn here. It seems unlikely someone has a straight, if you are against an overset don't worry about it.

Do you think that you're going to get more bets in raising this on the flop, do you think the CO will call 2 bets cold? I think its better to call this and let BB lead again with CO still in the hand...

I would have played this exactly like you played it on every street. Don't be results oriented (I assume you were beat since you posted it) - you played this well. As Phyto said, you could have raised the flop, but I would have played it like you did with someone betting into me on this board.

And to whoever posted "don't raise preflop": you are going to limp here first in with a pair of sevens from late MP?

I could see both calling and raising pre flop. 77 is the type of hand you're only likely to win unless you hit your set so I tend to try and keep people in rather than raise them out. In this position with no one in, however, the raise can buy you the button as well as give you the power to make a play if high cards flop and your opponents check.

I like the call on the flop - this is a very safe board and I want to keep CO in the pot.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.
