    Default Good Fold?

This was played on a site which isnt supported by PT or Converters but I have the report and this is 100% accurate.

10 handed game of NL Texas Hold 'Em. Blinds $1/$2. Game is fairly solid with lots of regulars and a couple of fish (who are not involved in this hand).

I have bought in with $100 and got up to where I am with hitting and showing down big hands (trips twice).

I recall 2 hands with villain recently. Amazingly both involved me raising big preflop with a big pair and him calling with suited connectors and him flopping a flush with me holding an overpair containing a card of the flop suit. On both occasions he was first to act and bet the pot into me, on both occasions I reraised all in and he called.

    My stack is $270
    SB has $43
    Villain has $120

I limp in cutoff with TJ of spades
    SB completes
    BB checks

    Flop is:

It is checked to me and I bet $5. SB folds, villain calls

    Turn (pot $16)

    Villain bets $30.............

Why would you fold this? What are you afraid of? A FH? You think if he had a FH he would probably play it a little slower.

Twice he has made potsized bets into the preflop raiser after flopping flush. He isn't a slowplayer. I belive his thinking is that if I have a flush he wants me to commit to the pot. By betting that big the only raise I can make is all in.

If he's got a higher flush or the FH, I'm willing to go broke.

^First of all, there is no need for that.^

This hand played awfully awkward to me. I like the fold here actually. I think your read is key here, and it makes it look like our Villain flopped the bigger flush. I think his bet is too large and too out of place here to warrant a call. There is really not that much information that you can gain from this hand since there isn't real poker being played. He's not really slowplaying despite his call on the flop, since his turn bet is so large. But I can't imagine a straight bluff here just to take $5 off of you. If he is a poor player you will have better spots to take his money later on.

yea i think this was a good fold..
villians check-call from BB or SB means he probably has the A-high flush, and puts u on a hand like QJ or KQ. If he had anything else he would have either lead out, or raised flop. A set would have bet out or c-r. When that turn card falls, he thinks that if he overbets the pot u may re-raise all in because u could be holding the K of spades and think that u have many live outs. That turn card was also pretty bad for him, he doesnt want board to pair, which is probably why he bet so hard figuring that if u had QJ or KQ, with a spade, he would probably get action.

also the fact that u only have 7 dollars invested in this pot, is another reason to fold.
