Default HELP !!! I keep losing even at lowest stakes

Ok, I just started with no limit hold'em a few weeks ago.

However I've read all about position play, good/weak hands, pot odds and some tricks like check-raise.

Whatever I do though, I keep losing even at lowest stakes ($.01) and $1 buyin multitable tourneys.

I know my opponents are weak since they call me with hands like 93, when I have a monster hand preflop (like AA) which I also heavily raised preflop, but that doesn't stop me from losing.

What else is there to know besides position, strong/weak hands and pot odds? Maybe I'm still missing something?

    Hello,

Post a hand history or two that you think went against you as a bad beat and people here will soon let you know if you made any errors. If you're lucky we'll even be gentle

I played 100 tourneys at least and before that a few days in ring games.

The strange thing is that when I started (knowing nothing at all), I played just as bad as when using the basic techniques like pot odds, position, check-raise etc.

Of course I did win some of those tourneys I played (or got 2nd, 3rd, 4th...) but overall not enough.

I haven't exported them, but will do so in the future (I play on PokerStars)

    Thanks for the generous offer.

you dont need to export, jst click the thing at the top left.

well have you got good BR management? imo you shouldn't be going into MTTs as a beginner as there is so much tactics you're required to know. Stick to micro cash games and sngs and you should pick it up very quickly.

If you post hands we'll help a lot, you may be calling with alot of marginal hands like K9 or A3 and getting outkicked or outplayed if you lack confidence in your hands

Thanks - Could you give me hints about tourney tactics?

I played enough to having figured out the basics like blind stealing when blinds are higher, and making sure to not drop out of the tourney within the first hands.

And no I play very tight most of the time, no A3 or similar calls.

But certainly I'm making mistakes, I'll save the hand histories from now on...

Oh and another question: Do you guys play 89 suited or T9 suited from mid/late position? I'm never sure really what to do with such cards

tactics vary - some people like to see a lot of flops early on so they can build up a stack quick so the blinds don't pressure them.. Others like to play tight right from the start to slowly make a stack but may find it trickier when the blinds get steep.

I myself play marginal hands when the blinds are at the first level and tighten up as it gets higher but then drop my play to a more looser strategy as play goes on when everyone else is tight and will fold away their AQs with just a small raise

a problem there is that you may be stealing out of position. say left of the BB where you're under the gun. Only steal imo on button, sb or BB or further back if you've got AQ AK or whatever.
