I really didnt like this raise. With his stack, this was a push or fold decision. MP1 hadent been playing many hands, I actually put him on a set but a stronger ace was also reasonable. This is a $3 Stars Tubro MTT which is why I'm wondering if its a bad fold.. Folding also left me tied for chip lead, whereas pushin and losing puts me back at an average stack.

I agree. He was basically begging for a call, but trying to build to build a big pot at the same time.
