I'm in a N/L game, early position, and look down to see pocket![]()

How do I play this hand with so many players in front of me to get maximum value, pre-flop. I also think I have a tell when betting. (hand shaking, etc)

I assume this is a ring game and not a tourney?? In general, AA should be played very much the same as any opening hand from EP - that is 3-5x BB. The tighter the table the more you want to bet 3x BB or even only 2x BB to encourage at least one caller and if it's a very tight table limping in once (a year) may be excused. If the table is loose NEVER limp in - the more callers you get the more likely you're get sucked out on. Nothing spoils your day more than some donkey limping in with 8-3 suited and hitting a set of 3s on the flop. At loose tables with small blinds 5x BB is not that big an opener and will usually a couple of callers and often a re-raiser!

As for tells - if you know you're giving off a certain tell it should be easy enough to correct it. It's the tells you're unaware of that cause you the most problems. Try pausing each and every time its your turn (you're thinking right?) and try to bet, check or raise with the same deliberation. As for shaking hands - stop drinking coffee at the table - beer is much more soothing!

depends alot of my table image (if I know my opponent look at it) and who is playing behind and especialy in Button SB and BB...
I f I know Button will raise a field of limpers with any 2 just to steal, good chances I will limp.
If the condtions a super tight, I will raise 3X and hope for a caler...
if its super loos I may raise 5x
Really depends...
Mid way In an MTT, almost sure i will limp... Odss somebody will steal are soo high, it worth the risk to see a multiway flop...
