    Default full house beats flush...twice...

    0.10/0.25c blinds ring game

just played these hands on pokerstars and normally i dont chase flushes but id been folding for about 20 mins and wanted some action so im holding qh 9 h flop comes 3c 7h 4h i bet 1 dollar into pot i get my action i caller i raiser im putting this raiser on either a str8 draw or even a flush draw as well but wiv my queen i think i have best flush i reraise from 2 dollars to 8 and get called by raiser, other player folds, this call puts the reraiser all in by the way. turn comes Ah river comes as 3s. i have the flush and other player has full house 7's full of threes he had pocket sevens. The other hand was similar to this but for a bit more money, both times the board paired on the river, i might stop going for flushes altogether now lol... was i right in betting into these pots and did i just hit some bad luck or are the odds to win always on the full house and not the flush???

unfortunately a trip with a pocket pair is difficult(reads damn near f'ing impossible, unless they're a really tight player) to detect no matter how you play. I think you played fine. Just had 2 bad beats on the river.

Flushes are the bain of my existence, and also the source of salvation I win them more than I lose them and typically its a very big pot because someone has 2 pair or a 3 of a kind so its beneficial to play flushes IMO.

He played strong because he had pocket 7's. It was luck that brought him the full house.

With your opponent having a set and you having a flush draw you're in a tough spot. He's almost as likely to make a full house as you are to make your flush! You got your money in there as an underdog... hit your card, but got redrawn on.

Flush draws are good for draws... but if someone is raising and reraising you, they're just a draw. You should only be raising if you think your opponent will fold (or for value, but not usually in NL).
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.
