I didn't see many more hands at the table since that QQ. I know the table was really throwing money around though.

I was really unsure of where I was on the flop. The minimum raise UTG seemed odd for this table, so I was thinking they had a big hand. After they called the flop bet I put them on AA. When the Q came on the turn I was sure I was ahead of sharpest, but unsure about colt so I didn't bet too much. After colt folded to the reraise I was pretty sure I was ahead in the hand.
Anything I really could've done differently here?

KQo in the BB

WE could build a case for folding the turn, but at these stakes it would be a -EV play for sure...
So I guess you had to lost all of your chips again on that hand!
An you were up front when th $$ went in after all!

You could have folded PF. You said that the min raise PF told you he had a monster...I guess that means that PF you put him on AA, KK, AK QQ or possibly AQ...All hands that have you dominated, so why call?Anything I really could've done differently here?
As far as the call on the turn, I can see that. The Q just doesn't make sense for his betting unless he's got QQ or AJ...However, You said you put him on AA after the flop, I think KK is also really likely (well not so much because you would have been holding the case K but you know what I mean) and he decided to slow play it for the over calls...When the Q fell, he got afraid that a str8 draw might beat his top trips and came alive...Either way, while you had the best hand, I probably would have folded it (I'm Weak/Tight)...Trons

9:1 for his $$$ trons.... + if he hits the nuts, good chances he will see a lot of action from the hands you mentioned.

I wouldn't have folded if I knew he had AK. Theres alot of ways KQ can become the nuts, so for a BB and 9-1 pot odds I'll call it any day. Especially when I'll get paid off if It's a flop like AJ10 or KQ8.

So I assumed he was looking at AA and was trying to get the most out of it with a bettor.Last edited by Maf1889; 04-06-2006 at 11:13 PM.

I'm not so sure I would have called. 9:1 is great odds concidering that you're no more then a 4:1 underdog PF.
His biggest mistake was not betting the flop harder. On the flop, the hands looked like:

You got lucky (or unlucy as the case maybe) and turned two pair...Trons

I got lucky to hit 2 pair, but I wouldn't have put anymore into it if I didn't hit 2 pair. The same for if i just called the raise to 1.80 and saw the J on the river. I thought he had an A, so I would'nt have been all in for my last 1.82.
