$3 Turbo SnG on Stars...2nd Revolution (IRC)

I'm still trying to figure out if I played this well or what...

The Flop. Couldn't ask for a better flop then this (IMHO). I raised to about Pot size because of the FD. At this point I was comfortable that I'm ahead while trying to put the caller on a hand. With his call, I'm guessing he's either drawing to the flush or has TPGK (I ruled out TPTK because no raise PF)...

The turn...His bet into threw me for a loop. I'm guessing at this point that he's on the FD and figured if he bet into me I would just call and therefore he'd keep the odds. The other possibly was he hit 2 pair. I also started to worry about him slow playing cowboys but I figured he'd reraise me if I raised him. I raised him to about 1/2 pot to make calling with the FD a mistake. His call bothered me. I about ruled out the FD now and put him on a hand, but I Couldn't tell if he was over playing TP or even two pair or if he had higher trips...

River: I really couldn't put him on an ISSD but because he kept betting I actually thought he had been bluffing into me and fell into a hand (AT made some sense to me at this point) and because it was so early in the tournament, I had no read on him...

I've been told that I play to aggressive...Did I over compensate with this hand?

I think you played it pretty well.

You've really got nothing to worry about the entire hand. If they were bluffing with A10, they should've figured out they weren't taking the hand by the river. I think you should've raised it on the river with only a higher set or the straight beating you.

I think am all in on the turn... In a turbo they will probably pay you with any pair here...

Plus, his bet on turn after you raise on the flop really show strenght IMO.

But if I still have on the river I still raise... If AT is still in the hand!!! Bravo! Book mark him as a friend and play him as often as possible!

That said, It was'nt that bad neither.

Good Play IMO... at least you raised 2 streets!

Don't overthink this one - it's a $3 SNG. If he's got AA, KQ, QJ, QT, Q7 he'd play that way as well. If he's got 77 (the only plausible hand beating you on the flop), that's just bad luck. At this level, morons will keep chasing with even low PP's like 66 or 55.

Remember to get all your money in on the turn. Busted draws don't pay you off on the river, and you're a huge favorite at this point. Trying to leave yourself some chips on the river doesn't make any sense, as when he does hit, you'll likely face a bet you're going to have to call anyway. Remember to maximize your opponent's mistakes.

If he's got AT, just bust out and start a new one.

Love those small pairs in position.
