Well, Its known that villian is an assumed good player.
PF thats fine, I like to play with big aces that way too, but usually if there are multiple limpers. Here we have a chance to get it HU with a good hand, A raise may have worked there (goes for villian too).
Flop, call looks ok, Villian may be bluffing to try and steal it, but most likely he's got a Jck or good Ten. With your two overs and an ISSD, I think a call is worth it here.
Turn is pretty good, we could have done without the Diamond (
) but we got a solid hand now. But the problem arises with the action, Villian isn't looking to mess around here, He's obviously not scared of your checkraise, and he really didnt think you would set up a complicated bluff like that. But there is still a large range of hands that villian could be playing from the BB (Q9o being one of them, JT also), that I think you still have to cap for value at least.
River, yeah that was a bad card. Clearly this villian is not going to be betting without a (good) diamond here, and since we don't have one, I think we can fold this safely. But given the pot odds, a call is understandable too. BUT, Knowing this villian as we do, I think he (should) would have check raised if he had either the Ad or Qd, and not bet out and risked losing you to the scary board.Marm is back, maybe. I had a good read that villian was a good player, but I was sure he was capable of making moves like semi bluffs, etc also. So I figured I'd see how strong he was on the turn, thinking if he had top pair or even top 2 pair he'd get a little nervous with a flush draw potential (which I partly trying to represent), and a straight possibility (which obviously I had).
Yeah the river scared me as any diamond has me beat here and with aggressive as he was on the turn I was concerned about the flush. If you're looking to borrow money or have someone give you money in order to play poker online please don't contact me... the villian is a known fish and regularly overplays hands, but your outs here are limited, I do not like the play.
check raise the flop if you want to continue.

Villians Thinking on the hand: 4 tabling and posting on PFO has distracted him, so....
PF. Ohhhh A nice hand! Hmmm, a limper and Pok came along, Ok, let's see a flop. Dammit Shoulda raised to get it HU with one of them.
Flop, Hmmm... I got a flush draw, overs, and an ISSD, and maybe I can take this down right here, lets bet out and see what they do. OK... POk hung around, lets see what the turn brings to really define his hand. Didn't even put you on a hand yet, needed the turn to really decide.
Turn, Ok Bet.
River, Weeeeeeeeeeee!
At the same time I was playing another AQ vs AQ (We turned Broadway, but we capped since I was freerolling to the flush, which I caught on the river, but yet we capped again) hand, so I knew I made this hand, and I stopped thinking about it.Last edited by Marm; 04-06-2006 at 03:00 AM.

We had a good discussion about AK from the blinds a while back, and I tend to mix raising AK, AQ, AQs from the blinds (AKs I will and AK if there aren't a lot of limpers). In the small blind i'm in horrible position after the flop, so sometimes I like to see a cheap flop. I don't think a raise will get anyone to fold so sometimes I try to see how/if it hits me. I was a little off on this one.....actually I was WAY off here.
