    Default I choked...

Seat 1: Fourchin ($2,735 in chips)
    Seat 4: itsamonster2 ($985 in chips)
Seat 5: DaaAlmanac ($4,055 in chips)
Seat 6: Stampeders ($2,775 in chips)
Seat 7: PJofTheGame ($2,180 in chips)
Seat 9: PokerJumal ($1,585 in chips)
    Seat 10: natedog52 x ($685 in chips)
    ANTES/BLINDS
    natedog52 x posts blind ($25), Fourchin posts blind ($50).

    PRE-FLOP
    itsamonster2 calls $50, DaaAlmanac bets $100, Stampeders folds, PJofTheGame calls $100, PokerJumal folds, natedog52 x calls $75, Fourchin calls $50, itsamonster2 calls $50.

    FLOP [board cards 6S,3H,4C ]
    natedog52 x checks, Fourchin checks, itsamonster2 checks, DaaAlmanac bets $300, PJofTheGame bets $1,000, natedog52 x calls $585 and is all-in, Fourchin calls $1,000, itsamonster2 folds, DaaAlmanac calls $700.

    TURN [board cards 6S,3H,4C,AD ]
Fourchin checks, DaaAlmanac bets $2,955 and is all-in, PJofTheGame folds, Fourchin folds.

    RIVER [board cards 6S,3H,4C,AD,9H ]

My questions... the fold was as terrible as I thought it was, right? And should my flop raise have been all-in, or should I have flat called or even folded?

what are you playing and what do you have?

without knowing that, I'm going to say that you should have raised more on the flop.

    lmao...

I had ... top pair and a gutshot draw on the flop.

I was getting 4.5 - 1 with what I figured were 9 good outs on the turn, but for some reason all I could figure is that I just got outdrawn by his A high. Sigh... I hated the fold as soon as I hit the button. (even more when I got to see his hand... he had 45)

I have to agree with Eclipse!

Your M and your opponent M are to low to justify a call with low suited connectors with the pot odds you had.

Plus, dont forget you will have to fold to almost any raise from player acting after you...

    -EV play

But if you decide to play it... you have to fold the turn knowing you are beaten, however you have great pot odds... if you can put your opponent on a potential bluff in a decent % of the time... it might deserve a call based on pot odds and the fact you have a load of outs!

Edit: Well.... you have to go all in on the flop... The pot is alredy 1K and you only have 2K left... so if you raise any other amount then allin, you will find yourself commited to the pot or give great pot odds to the opener to call your raise. You are favorite to anything but a set...

Am I missing something here? I thought it was 25/50 and he's got almost 2200 in chips. That's an M of about 30. I call here everytime, and fold on the flop every time. TP 6's with a gutshot straight draw is not a hand to go to war with. I think it's very likely that your hand is, at best, only second best to an overpair like 77, 88, etc.

Also, there's no way you have 9 clean outs here. This is a very crowded field, so I'd assume someone has a 5 (there goes your 7's as an out for 2 pair), and someone could easily have 57 or 52 for the straight, so I can't assume another 6 is any good either (not to mention if someone has a set of 4's or 3's).

    So add it all up:
    1) You've got no idea what any of your opponents hold
    2) You have a hand that is likely behind right now
    3) You have only 4 clean outs
    4) This is an extremely crowded and active field.
    5) You're out of position to most of the field

So what's the advantage of playing this hand on the flop? None. Fold, fold, and then fold again.
