Alright everyone
Just over a month ago I decided it was time for me to put alittle cash down and get myself a starting Bankroll on PokerStars. It was my first time playing online for cash (far from the first time ive played poker) and I must admit I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I am typing up this message with nothing but tumbleweed sitting in my account.
I noticed a number of mistakes in my game and those were:
• My lack of concentration. This played a very big factor because it would soon result in me calling an opponent all in hoping they would fold.. unfortunately a lot of the time they wouldn’t and I lost a great deal of cash doing this
• Secondly I was playing on $0.05/0.10 tables which unfortunately I knew was too high a limit for my Bankroll but I wanted to make some real money rather than peanuts on the $0.01/0.02 tables.
I am now writing this thread in the hope that someone could give me some advice on my next move. Do you think I should relax and take some time away from poker or should I put some cash back down and start playing again?
Im not sure what my next move is going to be which is why I thought I would make a post and see what people think I should do next

I doubt the main problem here is the fact that you are distracted.
the first step would be to gets some books and learn how to play.
then when you play, don't bluff.part time poker player, full time money maker

just dont bluff, and u wont run into this problem.
if u are playing NL then:
the only bluffs that u should be doing are continuation bets on the flop. And u should only be doing this with 1 other person in the pot, or 2 people AT MOST.
other then this, u should not be bluffing.. especially at those limits were people are stupid and dont know how to fold a hand. Many times u will get called down by hands like middle pair and other marginal crap.
i strongly suggest u get a few books and read up, or read more on forums and learn more about the game, as well as learning bankroll management.

Well only you can answer that question as we have no idea on your situation. It's really up to you to determine if you can handle loosing real money playing cards.
What I can offer is you've tried it, you've seen what i's like, and you also tried playing a little against the BR requirement that everyone talks about. Now with your style/level of play you've seen where that has gotten you.
You can try again using the same formula, and hope for a different result. Or you have alot of other options which can range from taking more time to study the game to re deposit amd take a different approach.
Whatever you decide make sure you're comfortable with the idea that you can loose more money. If you're looking to borrow money or have someone give you money in order to play poker online please don't contact me... Click Here for help , and explain your situation.

Before you can make money you have to be able to win at the game. Seeing a limit that you can't or havn't beaten as not worth it is a sure sign you havn't got your head straight about the game.
And don't bluff til you work out what it's for.

Play a little bit on the p-stars play money games. Build a playmoney bankroll of 100k and go to the 10k SnGs. These play a little more realistically, as there is an actual goal to win the tournaments. They play pretty similar to the $1 (real money) SnGs. This will give you some less costly bankroll management skills and online practice. If you can't make money at play money you need to go back to square one.

Never, and I mean never, play above your bankroll. It's probably the number one mistake Nl players make, and it's a deadly one.
Other than that, a few quick tips:
1) limit your sessions to very short periods - whatever time you can maintain absolute focus. if it's 20 min, it's 20 min.
2) review your hand histories after every session and look at the hands you won and lost. For the ones you won - did you get lucky or do something right? Could you have won more? For the ones you lost - did you get unlucky or do something wrong? Learning the difference between the two is critical.

it's probably not lack of concentration but rather boredom. If you honestly can't stay cncentrated...get checked for A.D.D.
Stay away from low limit ring games and instead play low limit sit 'n gos...shoot some MTT $5
also, if you are gonna play low limit ring games, then try short handedsites I play on:
Pokerstars for tournaments
Ultimatebet for Omaha
SupremePoker.com for short handed NL ring games.

Take a bit of time to read a short beginners book and get a regimented strong starting hand structure, then don't deviate from it.
It may seem boring at first but when you get into a hand your lack of experience is somewhat offset by the strong holding you will have.
This way you will win a few pots, perhaps not big ones, but it won't bust ya whilst picking up experience.
You just need to find the cheapest way to learn but not afraid to lose some, after all we have all paid at sometime in this game to learn a lesson.

Ask someone like Gder or PowerfulRog to play you heads up for small stakes. In exchange for taking all your money they will tell you what you are doing wrong.
