Decided to play some PLO today, give myself a break from grinding the stud tables. Probably about the 5th or 6th time I've ever played the game. Anyway, hows my driving?

I bet pot with top pair-bottom pair and nut flush draw, seems fairly straight forward. Is that the right bet? One caller, don't know anything about him.
----- TURN ----- []
Astaroth: bets US$5
Mortedo: calls US$5
Marginal improvement, but $5 into a $9 pot. I was worried he might have been playing 45 for a double gut shot, or maybe trip 3s or 7s, and figured if he'll call $5 he'll probably call $9, and if he raised me i'd rather pay the smaller amount. He called pretty quickly, so i could only think he had some sort of draw.

Mortedo: checks

Was the check on the river a spaz move? The only thing I could think he would be chasing with was a flush or str8 draw, themade both possible, so i thought he might bet his hand or bluff at me if I checked the river. Turns out he had two small pair, so probably wouldn't of called much of a bet anyway.

PLO hand
I love him who is ashamed when the dice fall in his favour and who then asks: Am I then a cheat? for he wants to perish.

bet the whole way through, especaily when you hit your flush on the river.

Gotta bet the river, if you think he might try to bluff or raise a lesser flush than bet like $2-3. otherwise I'm betting $10ish into that pot
You might want to try a check-raise on the flop if the table rarely lets a flop go by unbet. you don't really want a call and if someone wants to put there stack in you have lots of outs. But you'll win about the same with a check-raise as you did going to showdown if you get a bet and a call.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog
