I do this a lot, bet because I don't want anyone else to bet. I make horrible calls/laydowns and the best way I can avoid that is to just take the lead and bet out (please feel free to rip me apart for this.)

But in my defence, you'd be surprised how often this seems to work (betting when there's 4 to the flush.)

At least my bet wasn't as bad as his call.

No... Min betting on this river is the worst possible option. IF you are going to bet, about
1/3 to 1/2 the pot is where you want to be, possibly higher if you think this guy will fold a medium diamond. This size bets will let you release if you get popped with no worries. Min betting forced him to call, your bet was far worse than his call.

In his defense, Harrington says that about 10% of the time somebody will be bluffing, so right there thats 9-1 odds reguired to call here. You offerd the guy 19-1. The guy would have been more wrong to fold than to call here. I know he wasn't happy about any of his options (C/F/R) but he picked the lesser of the three evils.

Woah, woah, woah....that wasn't a min bet. That was a $0.50 bet. The converter must have screwed it up.

I think at low level .01-.02 .05.-10 etc.. betting this high is bad. you put 50% pot bet, ppl with like will call.

min bet as defense here i dont mind. low-mid flushes will call, sets straits etc.. will call. but in the case that no one has a hand, they will not try bluffing your min. bet. while if you chek, a non flush mihgt bluff it.

whatever

oh, sure, everyone starts ripping on you so you blame the converter. if it was a .50 raise then thats a worse call on his part.
Ruthless aggression on your part, and he made a mistake and paid for it.

I just requested the HH from PS and it looks like it was a min bet. LOL.
Ok, I meant to bet $0.50, I swear. No wonder you guys were giving me such a hard time. LOL.
I SWEAR, I know this sounds like BS but I SWEAR it was supposed to be a $0.50 bet on the river.
