If you're doing this at a table you're well BRed for, it's pretty dumb. The point of this is we are no longed BRed once we have 600 on the table. If you a $1200 br and are playing NL50. Getting up to 250 on the table doesn't make you underrolled

If I get to the point where I start wondering "Should I keep playing or take my winnings and go?" then I know that's the point where I should stop playing. It's a subtle form of tilt that I've learned to recognize.

Otherwise, I start playing nervous, and then bad things happen, and then comes the "WHY DIDN'T I QUIT WHILE I WAS AHEAD???"

It's sort of a soft stop-win limit, based on how I approach the game rather than any hard arbitrary number.

it's easy to say but extremely hard to do. I think if i had 6 timesd my buy in i would find it easy to leave but so many times i've made the mistake of going in with max buy in - doubling up and either losing it all or losing more than what i had to start with. I need to dicipline myself more and leave once i've made a certain amount... very hard to do when you think you're on a roll

IMO only 100 of the 600 at the table is part of his "bankroll" until you take it off the table.

Play on, carefully. Walk away from a rush only when it's over.

Leave the table. Drop the kids off somewhere. Go to the grocery store and cook dinner for your wife. (I'm guessing you're married because you mentioned kids somewhere else.) Get a bottle of a nice Napa Valley and it'll all be worth it.

Heck ive been giving .10/.25 NL a shot this week and im so far up now il be getting close to being properly bankrolled for it.
