Anyone who called the PF raise had to have liked their cards. When I saw the K on the flop with no set for me, I'd check/fold it. But I play no-set-no-bet up to J's in early stages.

what if your holding AA? still no bet in that spot?

And I think the guy let you off easy. I can't believe he didn't raise it at least on the river. 2PTK and he lets you SD for free. doesn't make any sense to me, even if he is out of position.

I dont do a lot of continuation bets in SnGs, but the play isn't bad. That guy was a donkey.

I'm limping in most times that early in the game with your size stack to keep the pot small and look to hit my set and trap.

You played the rest of the hand fine.

    pf - excellent play.
    flop - excellent play.
turn and river play - beyond superior.

i probably play this hand very similar to you. nice hand.

UTG+1 is the most passive player i've seen lol.

I wouldn't bet the flop at this stage of the tourney, later on yes but at that point I wouldn't risk 500 chips for 800.

However doesn't make it a bad play just cause I wouldn't do it.

Good disciplined checking down after the flop call and yes the other guy is a tool

I would bet this flop for sure. I've put in a PF raise, I have position and its been checked to me and I'm holding 2nd pair....why not bet and see where you are?

That is my basic philosophy on SnGs too. I would do it in an MTTs, but not a SnG.

When I did the best at SnGs was before I really "learned" how to play poker.

I didnt know about implied odds

    Didn't know about continuation bets

    Draws were death

    It served me well.
