You're right, if he bets the river its all in. If you are beat, you are beat. But, if all the chips are going in you might as well get him to push first. He may do this with 88/JJ or even AK on the river if he reads you as bluffing - hands he could fold now to a raise. Check the turn to look weak. River: double up or bust. Possibly, though doubtful, you get a confident read on him and make a correct lay down on the river.

This was at a WSOP event? Correct me if I'm wrong but calling that large of a raise from UTG with A4s isnt a +EV play...

this could have been a 200$ buy in. not nececerilly the 1,000 or 10,000$ if it was 200-500ish, im guessing there are alot of fish.

Yea I think Jason said it was $300 or so, still a large chunk of change from my point of view. I guess some rich dudes like to say they played in a WSOP event.

this isnt the WSOP, they have a circuit now too, like the WPT that Harrah's puts on.
