Default Live tourney report from last night

Since I posted about it I may as well share with you my results.

I was out 3rd. I got totally donked. Blinds 10/20. Starting stacks t1000. 3 callers in front of me. I get KQo in seat 6 of 8, button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop Qc7d2s

1st caller checks
2nd bets 20 into 120 pot
3rd calls
I raise potsize to $160
fold around to the initial raiser
he calls
3rd folds

were headsup on the turn

Turn [Qc7d2s] [5c]

He checks. I bet $350 in case hes drawing. I saw this guy playing any 1 high card and was not concerned about my kicker and had little feel that he was playing a pp becuase he had raised them previously. A lot of cards were being shown whether there was a showdown or not.

River [Qc7d2s5c] [Tc]

He raises me all-in.

I sit and think for a minute. My stack was down to $375, the blinds were going up in 5 minutes to 25/50 leaving me in a shit situation if I folded. I look at him, he stares right back at me. I think about what I've seen him play and Axs was shown 2x by him already. The table starts bitching about my taking so long and I ignored them. After about 2 1/2 minutes I fold.

He shows Ac4c

Call me a donk for not calling the all-in, but it was too fishy that this guy was willing to severely cripple himself by calling me all in. He would have left himself with maybe 200-300 behind. He didnt have me covered by much. In any case my read was right so I feel good that I still have t375 left.

I get past the blinds at 10/20 and have 345 left for a ring and know I have to make a move. I was in 5th position when I got ppJ and I went all in. I got rivered by the BB who paired A with AQ in the hole and that was the end of my night.

The only positive of this tourney is that they play about once a month and now everyone in the room thinks I'm a total fish. That alone makes it worth my time to return in the future where you know I'll be "bragging" before the tourney that I was the 3rd one out of the last tourney. May as well use my cash donation to my advantage.

Also, I was a little annoyed that they wrote out the blind structure in an e-mail and changed it when I got there. It partially was responsible for my getting in so deep with the KQ hand.

Originally the blinds were supposed to be:

10/20 1hr
25/50 1hr
every 30 min after 50/100, 100/200, etc

and they changed them to:

10/20 1hr
25/50 30min
every 20 mins after.....

Since I was so close to the blinds going up to 25/50 and we maybe played 25 hands the first hour I felt compelled to try to gather chips since my M would be down to 12 in a few minutes and 3.5 inside of 40 minutes (or 12 for 12hands and then 3.5 for 8-9 hands).

I would have just come off as a dickhead if I said something about the published structure vs. what was announced so I didnt even bother.

The guys who ran the thing took the time to invest in it though. They had 1 legit folding oval table and 3 octagon toppers, I'm guessing 9g chips (they felt real good in the hand), and 100% plastic cards ( a couple of setups of copags and a couple of setups with a brand I didnt recognized that were a little flimsy and sucked to play with).
