Default Lowest Full House on 3 suited board

I had an interesting situation last night. I was playing pocket 7s from the BB in a 4 way pot raised to 3BB. Both myself and the player I am against have around 100BB

The flop came down:

First to act I made a pot sized bet and was called by one other player, who I put on possibly slowplaying a flush.

The turn was

Excellent I thought, I now have a full house so decide to check (is this a mistake). My opponent bet out $20 (half pot) and I called.

River was a blank (but higher than 7, say it was a 9) and we are now both left with $60. I have pushed all in and been called by pocket 10's and obviously lost.

Now my question is could I have got away from this hand? At first I thought well if you lose trips vs trips what can you do, however unless I think my opponet is rubbish, he shouldn't be calling my all in on the river with a flush and therefore I was only getting called by something beating me.

Obviously if the flop was

2 6 7 Q K and no flush possible

and I lose to higher trips then I would feel I am correct to push, but I feel this was a mistake on my part - any thoughts?

Well... as weird it could look, I may call an all in bet, but I definately dont go all in 1st.

As you said, only hand calling you got you.

but in any way, its really hard to muck a FH, even a set with no flush or str8 on borad...

I think you are right KingJack. I should have checked and called any bet, He may bet the flush and If he has quad Qs or a higher full house he will probably make a smaller bet to induce a call.

My point is that if the board wasnt 3 suited I could easily put him on a possible range of hands including AQ, QK, AA, KK (all of which I've seen people call all ins with on that sort of board with no flush possible). E.g a guy with QK could put me on AA/KK. Does the flush possibility actually devalue a small full house?

Sometimes you lose on good hands, I don't think you made a mistake in play. That guy could have just as easily been bluffing. You win some you lose some, and sometimes you have to lose first to win !
