Default Ask or not?

last night my friend I have known for 11 years calls me up and tell's me his cousin and his freinds are having a 200$ buy-in game at his house. So my friend and I drive there (2 hour drive) we sit down and play for about 2 hours and after that the majority of the people leave.

At this point its My friend, his cousin and his friend and me playing. My friend and his cousin sit and out and the other guy ask's me if I want to do a 500$ Heads up match 3/6 Blinds. I considered him 1 of the solid players but I decided to play him.

My friend is the dealer were about 10-12 hands in the heads up match and I get dealt K/K I raise it up to 20$ and he calls from blind. Flop comes

K/Q/6 He comes out betting 30$ there isnt any flush draws so I flat call, turn is a Q.
He checks I bet 40$ and he raises it up to 120$, I move all in and he instantly jump's up and says "Nuts" Im sitting in my chair thinking what were the odds of him having Quad Q/Q's vs my Full boat Kings Full.

I flip my caRds over and say " I have a 1 outer" Then I noticed his face expression changed instantly and he show's me K/Q.

River didnt help him and at this point Im kinda "Scared" of how this guy is going to react I could tell my friend/cousin were a little nervous when he stood up from the table walked over to me and shook my hand. He left about 5 minutes later and the rest of us talked about the hand for another hour before my friend and I left.

I asked my friend on the ride home if he or his cousin had tampered with the deck because I told him the odds of that happening in a heads up match were so slim.

Was I wrong to ask if he had tampered with the deck, I was postive they didnt but I felt that I needed to ask because I felt bad for the guy .

I would like to think that your friend wouldn't fuck his own cousin's friend. You don't find a ton of people who want to play HU or buy in for 200 in a home game and my guess is that you don't want to scare em off if you want the game again.

if he said he did tamper with the deck, would it have made u feel better or worse?
would you have turned around and handed the guy his money back?

this smells like a glory corner post in disguise

you need some major skill to tamper with a deck and not get caught, so it very unpractical. however if he is a close friend, there is no harm in asking him in terms of the future of the relationship.

nh btw
