This is one example. The truth is, and I know many people here will disagree with me, in a no limit cash game with deep money (like 100x BB+) preflop play has much less to do with your EV then do things like position and post flop play. I would even go as far as saying preflop play is not that important WITHIN REASON. This is in part because of the huge implied odds one potentially has in NL, particularly against bad players with good preflop hands. (I'm NOT saying you are a bad player, just giving one example as beavis did where a poor player who cant laydown AA makes it very profitable to call them preflop with almost anything in a hope of taking all their money when you are ahead and losing very little when you are behind) My site has a short piece re:implied odds in NL
