What happened to poker pages?

Okay I know it's a bad word around here but I enjoy reading alot of the articles that were written by the pros as well as the players. I'm curious what caused it to become what looked like a good site to....well how alot of people seem to feel about it?

zero moderation, allowing people to post without registering.

The site itself is still okay... but the forum... yuck..... I actually committed froum suicide and got myself banned.....

ive always wanted to get banned from a forum(and since u jackasses wont ban me

(), its this weeks goal to get myself banned from poker pages for no apparent reason...except that i think its a good idea now that im slightly drunk

Pokery Pages has a great forum but you have to join PSO to access it. Thats the reason their free forum is horrendous.

So there's actually another forum on there that you can't see unless you join PSO? It dosent seem like there's many recent posts in the other forum I'm guessing becase like you guys said it pretty much sucks.

They used to go end edit post because the mod's didnt agree with your posts.

Yes

I haven't been a member for a while, when I wrote for them I also got a free membership to PSO. But, the forum was well trafficked maybe 40-50 regular posters and a maybe a hundred part timers along with all the pro's who do the lessons and stuff.

When I was there Daniel N., Rolf Slotboom, Ciaffone, Jen Harman, and probably a dozen other name players all posted regularly. Some had their own sub-forum.

But, it's like $150 a year and the advice in the articles and lessons is really basic. So, basically you are paying $150 a year for an ok forum. I think the discussions on PFO and 2+2 are much more insightful and debated. While PSO has a lot of name posters all the members walk on eggshells for them and take everything they say at face value.
