I agree it adds value but I don't agree that it should alter the hands you play for profit.
If your gonna make a call with say 78 because its suited then you gotta say that your playing for a str8 or flush. If you hit a pair with overcards on the table (which is gonna be more often than not) and get action you gotta fold surely.
Sure if you hit the flop perfectly (mixed within tight play) your gonna win big cos no one will put you on those two cards, but in the long run you are gonna fold far more bets than you'll win consistently playing this hand.
In other instances where you play gap cards suited then youre just playing for the flush, and will find yourself folding even more frequently on the flop.
