This is basically true, being suited may be a big part of 72s strength, but it is still a weak hand.
It is the transition hands where it helps. Say you may play AJo in a specific spot but not ATo. ATs may give you enough extra strenght to play.
Suited hands play a lot better vs more player too because the flush potential doesn't get deminished like it's pair value does.
In limit I would much rather have KJs than KJo.
