It depends on the situation ... for example 7s8s against 9sTs ain't adding much. 3-5% seems right though, on average, or against hands that don't dominate your flush draw

a=b

a-b=0

~3*0=~4*0

~3*(a-b)=~4*(a-b)

~3=~4

heads-up it doesn't add much.

In a multi-way field it can add siginificantly to the hands PE.

AKs vs 4 opponents will get about 16% of it's PE from being suited.

This is basically true, being suited may be a big part of 72s strength, but it is still a weak hand.

It is the transition hands where it helps. Say you may play AJo in a specific spot but not ATo. ATs may give you enough extra strenght to play.

Suited hands play a lot better vs more player too because the flush potential doesn't get deminished like it's pair value does.

In limit I would much rather have KJs than KJo.

shouldn't your sig read : run like a plantation???

To the original topic, it adds about 4% to your win rate which isn't huge but is significant.

Marm is right saying that certain hands are only playable because of their suitedness, 78, KT, A4 are gargabe unsuited but are good hands for 1 bet if they are suited.

When you add up all the ways to win the suitedness can make an unplayable hand playable just as 2 extra outs can off turn a fold into a call post-flop.

Also note that any suited Ace is more valuable than something like 78s because if you do hit your flush, you have the nut flush. Nothing worse than drawing to an underflush.
