being young and wanting to play poker

im only 16 and play home games with my friends every weekend and usually end up winning, though there are only 10 players and i really like the game. i play at 888.com but never w/ a credit card becuase im underage and my parents dont trust online poker. i do well on 888 playing for funny money, but only play on real felt with my friends a few times a month and i want to get better and play for bigger money, but as being underage, how can i get better and play better poker??

Sign up for Noble Poker. Just run the software and they will keep PMing you asking you to sign up. Just say politely that you will do it tomorrow/later etc. Eventually they will probably give you $10 for free (they did for me). I am sure some other sites would do the same, just sign up for a few, log on and see what happens. Then play the lowest stakes tables with this $10 bonus and if you are any good you will build it up and away you go.

The only problem you will have is that you wont be able to withdraw the money until you have registered a card and made a deposit. However if you show your parents I have $x00 in here and need you to deposit $10 for me to withdraw it, they may have more faith in online poker! Failing that message me and I will do it for you.

i played my first live tournament when i was 16... got 3rd... the saddest fact was that i wasnt the youngest person there.. some middle school kid got 4th (i busted him

You can Get Free money by winning freerolls HOWEVER yo're gonna have to sign up for a real money account( you just give you're adress and such). Freerools are very hard, the ones at ps you're gonna have to go thru over 1500+ people just to get a few dollers. But If you win it. Play at the penny tables and such.

Or you could sign up at sites that give you free money Like the above posters said. But dont trust ALL the sites.
If you win money and its in you're account you WILL NOT be able to withdrawl it without first depositing it or you have t ogive out you're credit ard and stuff liek that.

bodog is the best if you are starting off since you play with 110% of your deposit right off the bat.. i started a friend of mine who put in 200 bucks and plays the low-limit tables.. basic strategy is very profitable there.. nobody can touch their ring games... This is how you do it... you sign up with neteller( i don't think they care about your age because i signed up three days before i was 18) they'll call you and you go through the identity thing... Then you are allowed to transfer funds through your local bank. The site tells you to print off a document and you bring that and your money to the bank and you tell them the you want to transfer money from your account to your online account. They'll look at you like your crazy and charge you 20$ (like they did for me) then they'll do it. It'll take about a week for the money to get there and then you can transfer it onto a poker site and just say that your 18, its not like there going to check unless someone brings it to their attention. Then sign up for a debit card on the netteller site and they'll call you and ask you security questions and you answer all of them and then they'll say cool. Then you have to give them the info about your bank account you want to use to make EFT's (Electronic Fund Transfers). Just go through the steps then they'll send you a new shinny debit card which you can use anywhere. then whenever you want to take money out of your account it takes about 1/2 hour to take it off the site and put it on your debit card and then put the cold hard cash into your hands...and you can transfer funds directly outta your local account to the site instantly now, (but they charge 8.9% to do it instanly) anyways thats what i did, good luck
