Remember that every hand history is available online and if you could show that there was a significantly higher number of KK v AA over 100,000,000 hands at any online poker site they would probably get closed down.

There's no such record of live games and as such this can not be tested.
LIsten, I know that cheating cant be eliminated, and you do have a point about hand histories...the thing is online you're dealing with huge entities that hide in anonymity, your money is in "limbo" the second you release it...and u can cry plead and beg, but truth be told, what recourse do u have if the site just takes ur money... 1 little guy against an Armada of lawyers and that's if you have enough of a case to sue them
In a land based casino you have your hands on your chips the entire time and can cash out whenever you please, the pit boss and management are right there (and speak fluent english by the way...another pet peeve I have with online poker reps) to settle any disputes...
In my opinion, you gotta see things to believe them and online is just too mysterious and cloudy for me at this point.

Mike,

What however would you do in a live casino if the security came and accused you of card counting/collusion, took all your chips and threw you out? They also "lose" all CCTV footage. I would be lying if I said I have much knowledge about US casino's but would imagine that the mob still have an interest in most of them.

The main reason casino's wouldn't do this? They have their reputation to think of and want people to continue coming and giving them money. Exactly the same as online sites.

I personally think online poker is 100% straight and trust it more than live. That and the fact that I very easy to read. lol

Ok, another good point, but like you said, the chances of that happening are highly unlikely...especially at the lower limit tables that I usually play at (why would cheats waste their time there as opposed to getting the most bang for their buck in the highrollers lounge.

Anyhow, maybe our difference of opinion goes further... just as you said you're easy to read and thus prefer online, I actually think most of my skill is in reading people, so I guess I need to see their faces live...oh well; best of luck to you, and I guess we wont be seeing each other at the tables
