Default Poker for living...

I just want to know if there are some players on the forum that play the game for living. In my case I've just start to do so. Maybe I'm a retarded kid but I think that I can live with my earning and pay bills. I don't think I'm the only one out there but I'm just wondering who are the others...

EA does and i think jason may.. Pretty sure Bboy and JKo do too...

Couple of rules for that... make sure you have 3 months of bills and then some saved up... You will go on bad streaks. Also, you need to double or triple your Bankroll reqs before you play a limit. This will allow you to not be forced to step down a limit if you rin bad for a bit, and it won't hurt your $/hr when you do rebound since you won't be playing a lower limit. Look at 600-900 bb's for Limit and 5k -7.5k bb for NL.

It's not easy 2 do some weeks I work very few hours and make a shitload of money and other weeks I work 10+ hours a day and might only average 10$ or less a average. I dont suggest you rely on poker as your only income unless you have the bankroll and saving to suffer a bad run or 2.

Ya! When playing poker is your job you have to work alot on your bankroll. So... yes, I have savings to not being f*cked up by a bad streak.

Totally agree with this and this is why I play hugly overolled, nothing is guaranteed in poker. I do it for a living but I woudnt reccomened it 2 anyone.

The only upsides are

Work any hours
Nobody to boss you around
enjoy what your doing

Downsides
2 many 2 list could go on4 ever.

I don't play poker for living for the cash or the fact that I can play whenever I want but must for the fact that I doa thing that I enjoy... just like you said. If I have made this choice is that accept all the downsides... maybe I'll not play overolled as you do 'cause I have another little sideline but thanks for the advices.

what stakes are you thiking on playing 'professionally'?

the key is just having a big bankroll and knowing that you can beat the limit that you are at.
