Default Biggest Pet Peeves at the table?

My biggest peeve is when it's the first level of the tournament and the blinds are 10/20 and some moron raises to 250 or some ungodly amount. Its at that point that I know he's going to bust out early.

The next biggest is if you're in an SNG and there are like 4+ limpers and then the BB minimum raises so you have to go through everyone again to automatically call. If you're gonna raise jack it up, otherwise it's just a waste of time for all the other idiots to take 3 minutes to call. If the tournament means little to me I'll re-raise minimum to see how he enjoys it

Jason advocates big raises.

I hate min bettors, but I usually end up making a lot of money off of them.

people who play slowly...25 secs wait and then they just call the blind bet for 0.25% of their stack, or worst, some guys all-in and you get three of idiots in a row each taking nearly their full time to decide, so the last guy has had almost 2 minutes thinking time...and they always fold

people who say 'nh' all the time, like they've never seen a pair of fucking jacks before...as if people need to be congratulated for catching cards

when someone has what is probably the best hand, and still just checks (this is mostly in stud games)...if you've got AA showing, bet you timid cunt!. I was playing a 7stud SNG earlier, 4 left and i was short stacked (down to about 3 BB (200/400)), made the bring-in with KA(3)...chipleader calls (showing a K), everyone else folds...4th he gets another K (showing KK now) and i get a 7, by now i had already clicked the fold to any bet button, but he checks (!?)...5th street i get a K and he gets a 5, now he bets, and i raise all-in, win with KK ace kicker...how bad could you play a hand? went on win SNG as well. That wasn't too annoying obviously, but when your not in the hand and everyones just checking to each other, it gets dull fast...

when your waiting for the bubble in a MTT and ppl aren't putting pressure on the short stacks. earlier i saw someone go all in for about 1950 chips, the blinds were 800/1600 with a 100 ante...both blinds folded...the BB had about 10000 chips, but refused to call 350 into a pot of over 5000!! even if you have 72o and he shows you AA, you still need to make that call...

people who go all-in into when the board is the nuts, so you either have to let them have the pot, or call and pay the rake man...i was in a 4 way pot once which by the river was TJKQA rainbow...it was .15/.30 NL, with about $2.40 in the pot...someone goes all in for +$30 and two others call him...they won $0.80 and paid about $2 in rake...and the the orginal better started laughing at me for folding, thinking he done me out of my share of the pot...TWAT

anyway, i could go on...suffice it say, alot of people annoy me...

I don't think those big raises are so bad.. I use them alot at the 22s and 33s. They players are a tad better at the 55s, but still you can get some loose calls.

Agreed. You can really get some good things out of these raises if done in the right spot.

But yeah, its annoying when it happens to me...lol

I absolutely cannot stand hearing a complete stranger's story about a bad beat. I DO NOT CARE. No one does! Then you have to sit there and be polite and act as if it's the worst bad beat story you've ever heard.. ahhh.. I'm getting mad just thinking about it..

nh. screw "nh" 90% are bad hands with nice results.

also, every now and then a real hot shot sits down discussing his strat. and and why he's so good.

finally the dumbass players on .10-.25nl who chek till river and then bet minimum .25 on a 5$ plus pot. (even worse is the fool who folds to the .25)

At the right table (ie one with plenty of fish) there's a lot to be said for a big raise with small blinds with AA KK or even QQ. In the 30/3 and 50/5 MTTs on Party there's plenty of people who will call a raise of 250 for a quarter of their stack with 10/20 blinds with AJ AQ KQ 99 TT. Not always the right move but it has its place.

people who complain or whine when they get sucked out on, but think it's skill when they do the sucking out...

People who suck but still give poker lessons at the table.
