Default An online poker site has stolen money from my account.

Hi all Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I have a number of online poker accounts.

Several days ago I logged onto the worlds largest online poker site and found my account frozen.

I phoned the company a few times to find out what was wrong and they said someone would get back to me.

Today i received an email from the company stating that they had found software running on my computer that broke their rules.

I asked them what software they had detected, they never replied.

I have no poker playing or logging software, so i have no idea what they have detected.

They said that they had sent me an email earlier that had stated that i was using illegal software.

I have checked my email history and there is no record of this fantasy email.

They have now closed my account and stolen the money from it.

At the end of the email they said (remember this is the only email i have received from them) the account has been closed and that this decision was irreversible.

The company is based in Gibraltar. Can a company simply close your account without communication and then steal your money???

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it???

Call them, its much quicker to resolve things that way.

I had a similar problem earlier this year when I moved from the UK over to the US. My account got frozen as I was suddenly logging in from a different country. I didnt find out why until I emailed them asking why my password no longer worked. In the end I had to email them a copy of my visa,my passport, and even my US credit card I used to desposit. Worked out in the end but poker firms are very strict over things like this which is why its better you call them.

I've heard of this sort of thing before. You need to phone them right away because you obvisouly are getting anywhere with email. Don't allow them to shut you out. If you make it a BIG deal, they will have no choice but to pay attention.
