I have no clue why I pushed here at all, and that's what I deserve. A raise of 400 would accomplish the same thing without the risk.

A similar thing happened to me in a single table $20 SNG where it was about the same situation and pushed with A-10 soooted and got called by Queens. And no, I don't suck out, because I don't win very many hands when I'm all-in as the favorite or the underdog it seems anymore.

I also picked a terrible spot today in a 1 dollar turbo on Stars. I had J-10 on the button, tried to steal forgetting the SB was a loose/weak calling station. Flop was 8-2-10 rainbow, I go all in for my remaining 2k in a pot of 3k and get called by A-7 off, and an A on the turn. "Nice hand, sir"

The push wasn't a bad. Just got unlucky that the BB woke up with KK.

The push was bad, with so many chips theres no need to get in a tangle, just sit back and take it easy. Until your below 1000 chips theres no need to be so aggressive here.

yeah, wait until you are so short stacked people will call you with anything, and when you doulbe up, you will still be short stacked.

Brilliant Gryff.

He only had 12BBs. No one had shown any strenght.

There is nothing wrong with the move. Pickup an easy 450 most time.

The only way it is bad is if the table had been tight and limping with big hands a lot. You can't just put in a normal raise because he is OOP and the pot will be too big after the flop.

Raising to 450~ is a lot better if you're going to fold to a push.

Yeah, raise 450

1. build a big pot OOP

2. Fold ti a reraise and leave you self with 10bbs.

Great options.

It all depends on what opponents have been limping with.

Don't piss me off.
I'm warning you.
You have been warned.

Ok, lets raise to 450 here. We're risking 300 chips to win 450. If this works 40% of the time, it becomes immeidately profitable. In situations like this, I really believe it works 40% of the time. Don't forget the times he just calls, and we flop the best hand.

If he reraises, it's ok to fold with 10bb left. If we just pushed, we're going to be losing our stack most of the time when he calls anyways. I dunno, I can see an arugment for pushing, but this doesn't seem like such a terrible play either. A lot of it is read dependent, can this guy have 68s or is it more likely to be TT

you think two players will fold 60% of the time for for only 2 more bets getting 2.5:1 on their hands?

I like raising to 600 better than 450. i like to overbet a little OOP.

I don't think a push is "wrong" here unless you the limper only limps with good hands.

It was the reason why I did, there hadn't been any limp-raising going on so I figured I'd just pick the pot. Had I had more chips, I probably would have raised, but if I had raised like 450 I doubt I would have got both limpers to fold (It's the internet, nobody folds anymore.)
