I'm assuming I shouldn't be chasing overcards for 6 outs after the flop so how are strategies like this profitable over the long term? Any help is appreciated.

Pok, YOU REALLY NEED TO FINISH THE BOOK BEFORE TRYING TO IMPLEMENT THE IDEAS!!! Ok. I tried to do the same thing.

It does not work. Sklansky wrote that book with the idea that people would read through the whole thing at least once before doing anything with it.
As far as raising, I asked myself that question a few times too, when it didnt seem to do anything. Remember this though, you are not just raising to eliminate people, but to get more money in the pot when you have a percentage advantage to win. Since it is a percentage advantage, you REALLY need to make sure you do the raising that Sklansky says. I have found that out. ALWAYS RAISE WITH YOUR BETTER HANDS!!!
And for your AQ question, it totally depends on the situation. Position? Are they suited? This stuff matters alot. If you want to know why, FINISH SSH!
