How do you control your tilt?

How do you calm down after a soul crushing beat?

I could use some help with this because lately my way of dealing with bad beats is playing badly.

Normally, I search the forums. Most of the time I'll find a thread about it already.

to save u using the VERY complicated search function, a few simple answers to ur question that i find usually help......

stop playing for a little bit, make a cup of coffee, smoke a cigarette, tell ur girlfriend about how the idiot sucked out on u, go for a walk, throw things against the wall, get the sweeping brush and clean up shattered pieces of the now broken cup, tell ur girlfriend shes looking very pretty tonight...did she change her hair?, have an early night, sleep with a big smile on ur face

I get drunk, lose money, yell at my kids, yell at my wife, sleep on the couch, wake up with a headache - repeat.

I'll accept Beav's life story. It's a great substitute.

does this mean that we cant get pissed off by it? im using WE cos it seems that u dont get affected by any form of tilt whatsoever

I do worse after extended wins than extended losses.

I did destroy a mouse after a bunch of bad beats. Cash games, I don't tilt too badly, it is more about calling a marginal situation than making absolutely terrible plays. If I find I am really getting frustrated I quite playing for the night, then review my hands in the morning.

Tournaments, well, I am already gone so not much harm done. I will sometimes go and play 10c or 20c headsup SnGs on DR if I am really tilting.

I just play till I win one.
