Right now, as a super-tight player, I rarely see more than 30% of the flops, and usually I'm at 20%. I was curious, about how often do the super aggresive good players, like Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, and Daniel Negreanu see the flop? I realize its going to vary like everything in poker, but just ballpark.

i think antonio esf. in an interview said he sometimes sees 50%. but i think i eather missread or he was exagerating. imo you shouldnt aim for a number. just play any hand where you think the opponenets are weak. im gessing thats what the super agros do.

Yeah, I know. I'm going to loosen up a little, and wanted a general idea of how far these guys go, not to aim for any number really.

30% is pretty loose.

When I play "tight" it is usually in the 15% range for NL. Rarely do I get above 36% (this is total flops seen, not VPIP).

The super loose pro's don't play much more than 20%. Occasionally if everyone is folding to them or they have been effectively bullying you'll see guys like Gus, Devilfish, Sam Farha, Antonio play almost every single hand. But that is table condition dependent.

Over the long haul I would be shocked to see a big name pro, no matter how loose they appear, playing more than 25% of their hands.

Actually now that i think of it I remeber Simon "Aces" Trumper say that when he picked up Omaha Devilfish, possibly the loosest of the loose, told him, "Kid I have 2 words for you, hand selection"

When you see them being maniacs it is for a reason, not because it is their usual style.
