Default $40+10 11A @ Showboat AC

I hit this regular tourney up Sunday. The guy running the event was terrible and he was seating 11 players on tables rather than opening new tables. I was unimpressed by this, but the House of Blues poker room has good chairs and bottled beer so that kinda made up for it. Unfortunately I didn't make it an hour in the tourney. I got rockets and raised 4.5xBB and got one caller. Flop came Q 9 3 rainbow I raised 500, he raised it to 1000 and I pushed. Ran into pp3's. I guess I could have raised it to 3000, but that would have left me 800-900 chips and I don't think I would have gotten away from the hand anyway.

This poker room has next to no action. I played cash games from 12p to 6p breaking even at $1/$2 NL $300 max. Most of the people there were staying at the hotel and the rest were sharks. If you want action, you should definitely go elsewhere, but I had a good time and would go back.

I was buying in the NL for $100 and I got busted out on AA again. I raised to $10 (because that had become the acceptable raise at the table-no one was respecting anything less than 4x) and villian raised to $20. I put him on KK or QQ. I pushed. He was KK and the flop came K 9 5, game over.

Anyway, that was my poker weekend. Out the $50 buy-in and even in the cash games after recovering the $100 drop on the AA death.
