Just sign on to a site and play with play money - that should teach you more than watching a video.

Like Girevik said play online for play money. It may not be the best competition but it will teach you the basics of the game plus you will get to play a lot of hands.

I do play for play money on Party Poker, but it doesn't really anwser all my questions becuz I wouldn't know how to play live with friends just by playing online becuase it's so diffrent.. So by watching a live game i could learn to play with my friends and family live.
Thanks.

Play live with your mates in exactly the same way as you do online...doesn't matter whether you're online or live, the mechanics of the game are identical. So things like the dealer button, small blind, big blind, next person first to bet etc, etc are all exactly the same.

There are some differences, but it's more strategic things like tells, standard of other players, etc. When you first start playing live you won't really notice anyway. Especially if you're just playing with family and friends.

Oh but you have to count chips yourself - other people's stacks and the pot - so that can be a real pain when you're used to having these figures nicely laid out on the screen in front of you!

It's just that when your dealt your "whole cards" somtimes everyone places there bet once and somtimes twice before the flop is dealt so how do I know how meny times you bet be4 the flop/turn/river? Also how do you know if the pot is spilt between hands and how much it's split? Also the person with the button do they deal all the cards even to themselves? And how do you know how much the small and big blinds are?

1. It's "hole" cards, not "whole" cards.
2. Are you talking limit or no limit? In no limit you go until everyon has called the last bet/riase or everyone (or all but one) had all their money in the pot. In limit there is usually a 4 bet (3-raise) cap on each street
3. The pot is split only when two players are tied, then it's split 50/50. If there is a side pot, the winner of the side pot gets all if it, and the winner of the main pot gets all of it.
4. Yes, the button deals himself in.
5. You decide what the blinds are before you start playing.

Heaven help me, I'm having a pp100 flashback.

i know what you mean. I watched a video of a good UB player (Green Plastic) play a HU session. It was short, but it really showed me how agressive the 50-100nl pros reallly are. PFO should have a section where you can post videos of your sng/cash games.
