Default Short stack method for NL ring

I remember seeing some people on here talking about this type of play for NL ring games. Can anyone give me a little insight on it? Pros/Cons, good idea/ bad idea, etc. and maybe an overall strategy.

I would think the biggest thing is if you sit down with less, you're keeping yourself from really making more money if you hit a big hand. But if you play with less I guess you can minimize your losses and KIND OF control some of the swings with playing NL. Don't quote me, I'm not anywhere near the math expert as anyone else here, but that's my personal opinion.

I agree with Longball, even though he's kind of a homo...

I prefer to sit with the minimum and play super tight until I can hit a hand. There are a couple of good things about this; One, you can double up and just keep building and building. As bboy said "It seems i can't lose a lot but i can win a lot". i think this holds true. The second thing that i really like about doing this is people are more willing to call your allin with less than good holdings. You can push with KK and get called by QJ because "well...it's not gonna cost me any more than this, so what the hell".

So is basically all you're doing with this is waiting for AA,KK and going all in pre flop? Oh Marm got in there right before I posted I'm guessing there's a little more to it than that.

im guessing with this strat you have to be comiited to your hands more. Chasing flushes, not letting go of OPs... Also play tighter prolly, and bet your hands harder pf. All this info could be wrong considering im just speculating, imo 10bb is the way to go.

Well I just ordered the book so hopefully I'll be able to apply some of it.
