Default Infinity

I think this is poker related because understanding the nature of big numbers is part of bankroll and psychological management, so....

An infinite amount of monkeys with an infinite amount of typewriters and an infinite amount of time will...

- write all the works of shakespeare.
- write all the literature ever written
- write every combination of the characters (of every length up to and including infinity)
- write all the above an infinite amount of times.

What if there is only one monkey with one typewriter and an infinite amount of time?

What if there are infinite monkeys and typewriters but only 5 minutes?

(please ignore the crippling bill for typewriter ribbons and the fact that these monkeys despite apparenetly having a grip of Shakespeare have'nt heard of wordprocessors)

Discuss....

Then listen to "Infinity" and "Monkeys" from here..

and several wrote the complete works of Al Fraken.

the nature of infinity means thats anything can happen within it, unless you start defining infinity which im sure as eevryone who has done maths knows it changes everyone

Assuming that a Shakesperian play can be typed up in 5 minutes, this is true.

Oh, then of course. In fact, you'd have infinite copies of each play.

In the real number system infinity is not considered to be one of the set of real numbers and so none of the operations are defined for infinity.

I know this is a flawed statement but its funny to think that 1000000000 is no closer to infinity than 1 is.
PS also if you give infinite monkeys a fraction of a second it would be the same as giving them infinite time as well correct?
