Default U just love my donkey style

Call me Snoop Donkey Donk

Friday I was playing in the mob turbo on UB.

Got lucky, flopped a nut flush and doubled through the CL early.

Blinds were still like 50/100 and I had 16k in chips Avg stack was about 3k. The guy in 2nd had 12k. Unfortuanately he was at my table.

I get TT, he opens for a raise, SS pushes, I call he calls. Flop is 742, I push he shows JJ, BAM! Down to 4k - alright still above average. I push all with T8s - am I on crack? Flop a flush and BAM! 12k in chips.

I get AQ a few limpers including my new CL buddy.

I raise it to 1000. He calls me after limping for 100 or 150.

flop is TT5, he checks, I WAY over bet the pot. He check raises me all in, I dutifully call, he shows me 54. I turn a flush draw, but miss it all and poof..... I go from having 140x the BB in the early stages to bust in one level.

Nice job Beav!

not sure why you would push in here as the chip leader. yeah you had an overpair, but you also had another willing caller.

That's why I said I was a donkey. It was horrible play - all the way through. From the time I hit 16k to the time I busted out I played like a complete ass. This is beyond being a nemo. I am sure if I had just logged off I would have made the top 100.

Since you've already beat yourself up, I won't join the chorus line. Just a little thought on how I play the big stack:

Personally, when I'm the CL or a big stack, I go out of my way to avoid confrontations with another big stack. Unless of course I think they're lucky dead money, then those chips are mine.

When I'm the biggie, I switch from a strategy of trying to win legitimate pots to outright stealing and beating people out of them. Any legitimate pot I win is icing on the cake. But beat up those average stacks who can afford to fold, and stay away from the small stacks and big stacks.

On another note, I've had tourneys where I've played like a total donkey myself. . . . . which we won't talk about now . . .ahem.

Remember I just won one of these in the last week or so. I do have a clue how to play a big stack.

I prefer to feed off the short stacks and isolate them. I was just on tilt and having fun. I was playing 1/2 S8b and an O8b MTT at the same time, I finished 3rd out of 480+ in the omaha MTT.

I do wonder how well I could have done in this if I had pulled my head out of my ass - but it was fun while it lasted.
