Uk poker rooms...

I live near st albans in the UK and am itching to get into some live action. Anybody know the main live rooms in the UK (i can get to london if need be)?

I'm in North London, (a few stops down from St Albans on the Thameslink, infact), and the Gutshot Poker Club is where I go...It's on the Clerkenwell Road, near Old Street. If you get the Thameslink from St Albans straight to Farringdon you can walk from there. You can download a map on the Gutshot website. Bring some ID, sign up and you can play straight away. They have tournaments and cash games of all sorts, with a range of buy ins, every night of the week.

You could also try the Grosvenor Casino in Luton, they have just opened a huge card room with all sorts of games, and plenty of low buy in tournies too.

I also like the Victoria Grosvenor on the Edgware Road, near Paddington, but their tournies and games are more expensive, and you'll also get a better standard of player...the Hendon mob go down there for starters!!!

With the Thameslink train from St Albans you can get to all of these easily!

Get on the train to London.. go to the gutshot club (do a google).. Knock three times at the side door and tell them I sent you....

I used to live nr St Albans.. nowonder you want to play poker.. most excitig thing there is the ducks in the park...

lol i actually live more near welwyn garden city (tewin) and yes it is VERY boring, usually have to hit london for a night out and that adds up lol. Well im 17 at the mo so ima have to wait till i can go to the live clubs, im just preparing. How tight are they on ID btw?

Well you have to be 21 I believe...at least for the casinos, might be worth checking in case the Gutshot is only 18...but you'll have to show your drivers licence or passport, nothing else will do...so they're pretty tight, none of yer mates fake student cards will do hehehe!

lol my one says im 20. Il check then, and if it is 18 i will be seeing you there in a few months

EDIT:Grosvenor Casino is for anybody over the age of 18.

Gutshot is very tight on id. You need a passport to join - gaming laws..
