Default Newfound "riches"

I cleared the $100 bonus on a couple of the Total Poker skins (terrible players, but even worse software), so now with the bonuses and what I won at the sites I've got about $250 to add to my bankroll. I know that's not much for most of you folks, but it's pretty significant for mine.

Anyway, I'm trying to decide what to do with the money. Right now I play mostly .25/.50 limit hold'em at UltimateBet (where I'm basically breaking even) and PokerStars (where I'm doing pretty well after around 1,000 hands, IIRC). Here are some of the options I've considered - I'd be interested in any other ideas or feedback on what might be the best thing to do:
  • Add it to my roll at PS and move up to .50/1
  • Add it to my roll at PS and move up to .50/1 to clear my bonus there faster
  • Learn a new game like Omaha or stud hi-low. Stud seems more fun, but O/8 would probably be easier to learn based on my knowing hold'em a little bit.
  • Bonus whore on another site - maybe one with a rakeback.
  • Work on NL ring games
  • Use it for SnG's

Right now I'm leaning towards the option of .50/1 LHE at UB and trying to learn O/8. Then again, I could just withdraw it and buy myself an iPod......

Hey Gir... Give Partypoker a try. You can get a 20% deposit bonus, and it takes only 700 hands of raked play to clear it. The software is not as good as PS or UB, but the play is pretty soft in the ring games. I don't like the SNGs because the blind structures are pretty aggressive, but the ring games have been pretty profitable.

BTW, I'm thinking of taking all my money out of UB. The site doesn't seem to have much action anymore at the ring games. Have you noticed that, too?

Yeah - that's why I've switched over to PS for the most part. UB has a lot fewer tables and they got VERY tight. I've still got like $350 in bonus there, though, that I'd like to get at least a piece of.

I've played on Party a bit, but I've been told that due to the style of play and limits you really need a pretty good br to play there. Would a couple hundred cut it?

That might be a little on the low side, depending on the game. The NL tables (which I mostly play) start at $25 buy-ins and .10/.25 blinds. I mostly play the $50, .25/.50 NL tables, and I deposited $500 to start. I was lucky enough to win a MTT at UB, and after I did, I took half the winnings and moved it over to PP.

Learn to play PLO, penny tables at PS and UB are super soft and once you have about $250 and a month or 2 experience you can play .10/.25 PLO no problem.

my advice is to definetly get on a site with rakeback. Caribbean Sun has a very easy to clear $50 bonus every month with no deposit required. you can also get rakeback from KidRed here. I clear the bonus there playing the $25 PLO tables very quickly (usually in 2 hours) and its not unusual for me to make $100+ when I do clear the bonus.

My last 3 bonus clears on there I have made $148, $76, and $120 plus the bonus. Not bad for a couple hours work

When you say PLO, is that high only? I was kinda thinking of picking up a hi-low game. I was also thinking limit, but I could give pot limit a chance.

I'd recommend Bonus Whoring, there are lots of great places to whore and alot of great affliate deals. You can get some great prizes from places like PSO.

There are many, many bonuses that are much easier to clear than UB these days.

First off, what exactly is PSO? Secondly, a BR of $250 would limit me to playing .25/.50 or MAYBE .50/1 - which sites have bonuses that are easy to clear at those levels?
