But it doesn't say on the site. How do you get an avatar on PokerStars?

Sorry, I just realized that there is a link to that on PokerStars.com, not PokerStars.NET. Why is there a difference?

Edit: That option is grayed out (unclickable) for me. Why?

The ".net" sites are for play money, and are maintained so that the sites can advertise on television and other media where gambling adverts aren't allowed. the .com sites are for gamblin'. Don't know why your avatar option isn't available.

The only thing I can think of is that it says you can only change your icon once, thought I haven't changed the icon at all.

have you tried contacting support at PokerStars? They are very responsive and helpful.

Ok, I contacted them and they told me I could fix this by getting the Pokerstars.com version. My question is why would they advertise the worse program on TV? Heck, why does Pokerstars.net even exist?

Because Pokerstars.com is a gambling site, which is technically illegal in the USA. Therefore it cannot be advertised, all the poker sites to it. Partypoker.net etc... you'll never see the .com sites advertised.

I could change my avatar when I played at .net, not really sure why you are having a problem. You can play with play money through the .com aswell though.

You do see the .com sites advertised, but only late at night.
