Default session goals and limits

as you know I am new to the forum and I am sure this topic has been hashed over many times but.....
I was wondering what everybody's session goals and limits are.For example...Do you quit if you lose a percentage of your buy-in,do you quit if you win a certain percentage of your buy-in,do you play for an hour and then quit?etc.etc.
i would like some feedback if possible.I have read the goals forum and the acheivements you have made and found out I must really SUCK!!!!!!!!!
Appreciate all of the responses ahead of time!
Gl and good playing!

My goal is always to play well and let the winnings add up. Because Poker is a long-term game, each session matters little... so I just play with the goal of getting the most gross hands in as possible, and playing well while doing it.

I figure if I do ok, after variance, more hands = more money, so I always shoot for more hands.

Taking up what PJ said- forget session targets in temrs of winings/losses. You should play within a BR that allows you to absorbe these.

What I do find is that I really aim for a couple of hours of play - beyond this I get tired - much below this and I havent had had enough time to grab a table.

A typical session of 500 hands - I think I am substantially up 1/5, up 2/5 breakeven 1/5 and I'm substantially down 1/5

A session is just a session, I have no goals or limits. I play till I'm done. I'm done when I'm tired, When I can't find a decent game, when my TV show comes on, when the wife is beating me on the head, When I've gone on tilt and cannot play correctly anymore.

A session is just a smaller part of one big session, it all adds up.

Stop losses or wins are just bad ideas, given you are playing on the proper bankroll.

Generally mine is X number of hands. After that I force myself to take a small break just to be able to keep focussed.

one of the books i have been rereading makes an obvious but funny point: when you are winning consistantly at a table, there is no good time to leave, and conversely, when you are losing consistantly at a table, its always a good time to leave.
