WARNING PARADISE POKER
Ive been playing on paradise poker for a couple months with no problems, until yesterday...
I was in a $30 rebuy and add-on tourny. At break I had over 9,000 chips-doing pretty good. A pop-up appeared asking if I wanted to add-on, I clicked no.
Not five seconds later, as I was typing a message to a friend in an instant messenger, the box reappeared and automatically bought an add-on because I was typing!
I immediately contacted them concerning this but didn't receive a reply for well over 12 hours, at which point they basically told me too bad, you added on using a "keyboard shortcut". Mind you this happened instantaneously, I didn't hit enter, didn't even have time to react. I was typing, caught a quick glimpse of the box and that was it.
I have removed all of my money from the account and will never play there again. I suggest that if you are considering playing there you do not. The customer support is terrible (email only) and I believe that they are outright thieves.

Apparently you didnt finish to well.
In fact, unless you were way ahead (like a huge huge gargantuan CL, like 10-1 ), you were correct to add-on.
And if you couldn't affrod to add-on, you shouldn't have been playing that event in the first place.
Can't speak for the CS, but thats one of the reasons I don't enable hotkeys (ok I use the F keys at Hollywood) at poker sites.

Frankly, I don't think its a good investment to pay another $30 to add less than one third of the chips I already have!
I didn't have hotkeys enabled, at least I don't know of that option. As I said though, I had declined the offer once and it almost immediately reappeared and screwed me.

I think this guy is employed by a rival poker site to rubbish there competitors in places like this. I won't buy it!

Oh comon, I am employed by a rival? Hey, I'm just giving you a warning, not trying to argue the value of an add-on at that point, strategy blah blah blah. I was wronged by them, bottom line. Take it or leave it.

Not really, in fact, it is probably completely neutral.

This is what happens when you are not giving a game your full attention. It is your own fault. Everyone here has bet or raised or folded when they didn't mean too. It is a pitfall of on-line poker, just like having the dealer muck your cards accidently is a pitfall of live poker. Deal with it, you will be happier.

addons are always EV+ when addon chips > buyin chips (i.e. Stars rebuys are always EV+ since you get 2k instead of 1.5k)
