People say anywhere from 250-500x based on the experience of the player. Really if people with $7500 are losing there BR even at 250x playing 30/60 they should consider a different game. Does everyone expect to lose say 80% of their BR at one time or another knowing they will bounce back?

Seems that way.

Maybe not a higher win rate, that is a whole different subject. What I don't believe from playing higher stakes is that you can't win if you go too many levels up. There is almost 30 levels of stakes say in a limit structure. It's not like each level up is 20% harder thus going from 1/2 to 10/20 isn't 10 times harder to beat.

I agree the cards are the same at any level or money.

ALways expect to lose you BR, that wayyou wont play scared, as you seemed to be. You also seem to play (in your normal game as you describe it) very loose and overa ggressive. This time though, you were playing a tighter game. But Bboy is right, expect to go broke playing this short.

30/60 needs a 18k bank to play, and you count Big Bets, not big blinds in limit. Even if you wanted to push your luck and play short, you really shouldnt have less than 10k-12k at this game.....

Give me a break I've been playing poker online for a while and know what's up and what works for me. I never said everyone is full of shit but you didn't read my post correctly, too bad for you I guess. Why don't you think "outside the box" for a change and wake up to the real world of poker. That is have an open mind about everything. That is what the forum is for.

Exactly Marm, not playing scared so whatever that BR is for you then go with it. Always be ready to re load if need be.

But you said you were playing scared, and if you plan on reloading, you might as well count the $ set aside to reload as part of your bank

I wasn't playing scared even though I was on a very short BR. I'm playing my A game.

Then why, in the original post, did you say you were seeing a lot less hands?? Were the cards cold or were you playing different? If you were playing different, that means you werent playing your A game....

Because I normally play short handed and as well decided to just tighten up some since I was playing long handed to get away from the suck outs. I really do notice less suck outs when playing long handed and higher stakes. This really fits my game better with more peace of mind. Otherwise still playing my A game. Right now I'm on a roll and life is good. I know it won't last though, you always have losing streaks too.

you are being very stubborn

you most likely cannot beat the games that you are playing over time

you will lose your money

count BB's as big bets in limit---
