Default Online Poker

I haven't posted in ages, but would like some thoughts from the crowd.

I started playing online sometime in February (around then) of this year. Deposited $50, made little, and then I think I lost it, its been awhile, cant remember. I played mostly NL Holdem ring, and did ok, played some sng's and did ok.

I put another $50 in, and have built a decent bankroll. I have found out I do very well playing $5+50 cent NL holdem sng's. That $50 has built to over $400 in the past few months. I get to a certain point, I take $50 out, and keep the money in an online banking account.

My dilemma is, do I keep playing this 5+50s or try moving to ring games with higher stakes? What are some of your thoughts on this?

It varies on the poker room that you are at.
For example, with Party, I really like the $20 and $30 NL tourneys, and I find the competition to be poor, especially on a Friday or Saturday night.
Absolute is the same way.

You should really step it up and I think you'll be surprised that the competition doesn't necessarily get better the higher the stakes are.

Try out a $20 or a $30 and you'll get the hang of things quickly.

Thanks KDawg. I have played some 10+1's and have done well. I guess I play 5+50's becuase there is a lot more of them going on. Sometimes a 10+1 takes too much time to fill.

if you can handle it do a 5 and 10 sng, but i would try to move up atleast to a higher sng not nec ring, the only reason is if u get 3rd instead of making 4 dollars your are gonna make 8 and so on

i would move up a level in SnG's and see what happens there then maybe move on to at the most till you feel comfortable a 1/2 limit ring game.. i play 1/2 limit at pacific poker and own almost all competition..i turned a $50 BR into just over $2000 playing 1/2 limit ring games.. But try out a higher SnG first and see how that goes

Good Luck and may the flops be with you
