PT vs. Sklansky
All of you PT guys who recorded at least 100k hands, can you see the difference between what starting hands PT says you should play vs. what Sklansky mathematically came up with? Could someone post a chart or something, if different than what he says?
Thanks

Thanks, so how does Jones and Warren come up with their rankings?
Obviously there all pretty close but that is only a little over 11% of all the hands.

Ranking AQs below KQs is the most idiotic thing I have ever seen.
You have to be a terrible player to make more money with KQs on average than AQs

Personally I have been referencing my play to what Sklansky says but when playing short handed then it's a different story.

wow, i dont use pt, but i know what works for my game. i wouldnt play some of those "top hands" listed if my life depended on it.
JTs, T9s,? id rather play 22.
THere are other hands i dont like, but if listed those, I would be offensive.

theres nothing wrong with mid suited connectors from LP.....
But Learn, PT does tell you anything but historical results. Its not a guide, its tracking software that just keeps track of your games for you. A spinoff of that was the ability to profile other players along with yourself. Its nothing but a bookkeeping app.

suited connectors
JTs-910s it's quite common in NL to attack blinds with these. Some ppl even use them to defend SB with.
Typical move:
all fold to button.
Button = raise (loose or tight doesn't matter)
You = SB = JTs - re-raise:
BB folds.. (two threatening players)
button (mid PP or two face cards) either folds or
if he's loose your one on one with a slow play threat that could give you the turn for free i.e 50/50 chance of hitting top pair - plus srt8 / flush in the background.. Its a squabble over the blinds but that's what mid-limit poker is about... If he's played a mid pp and a face card lands you might take him on the bluff...
The thing with ~JT is that it always completes the dominant str8....
If he has got AK and you hit the T - then you'll draw him out on overcard betting.
You can't fold good cards like JT s around the blinds....

i love 9-Js in late position or the blinds, sometimes ill put in a raise with it if nobody is showing any real strength but mostly ill just limp with them

I like JT, QT, becasue they have the potential of really screwing someone. my only point is (opinion more like), I dont think they are "top 10" hands for my personal style.
