first of all, nobody gives a shit cause im new
second of all, this is not and advice

the one thing you have to understand about poker is that to make money you have to play your opponents, not your cards.

when I sit at a poker table (i play no limit, I dont even have a clue how to play limit), I dont wanna play those who are better than me, I play the suckers. This is what its all about. I mean, Im such a newbe but I win anyway. Your table wont always be full of fishes, u dont have to fold, just be careful, and you'll stay even. You ll do your money with those that you totally own.

I think (and I might be alone cause I dont hear this often) this is why poeple complain about not being able to win, they want poker to be challenging, to improve their skills AND to make money. Sorry but you cant have it all. If the only game you can beat (for the moment) is 0.01/0.02. Then be it.

Last thing, dont play 0.01/0.02 at pokerstars. I mean, I dont even know if i could be a consistent winner at those stakes (cause of the rake), but I play 0.10/0.25 and totally own (not always lol, like I said I have to play bad ppl).

Winning poker is about big numbers.

I'm playing the better than ever at the moment and I'm down a bundle in the last two weeks about $700 (wiping out the profit of the previous two weeks and leaving me where I was a month ago).

However I've had surges of success that were as good or better and I keep graphs of my bankroll so that I can see the longterm trend amid the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.

Tens of thousands of hands tell you whether you are a winner or not.

And as one Mr Kipling said,

If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters both the same you'll be a poker player my son.

I know man, the rake at 1c/2c is SO TERRIBLE. If you don't think there can be a consistent winner at 1c/2c.. Err ^^

Poker isn't "about" any one thing.

First, get Getting Started in Holdem.

You are playing NL? How much do you buy in for?

Maybe you should short buy ($1 at .01/.02), and switch tables when you double up. Playing a big stack is for advanced players.

I started out playing Pot Limit Holdem. I figured I would lose, so I never got stressed when I did. I figured I was gonna deposit $50 a month.

It wasn't until I started winning regularly that I got freaked out - kind of like you are now.

First thing you need is a mind-set change. Think the money you deposited as entertainment money. It is your movie or Doom12 money. Your entertaiment is getting in there are playing the best you can and learning the game.

my suggestion is quit hold'em... with the mind set you have you need to go do some yoga classes and get your chi in order before you start tryin to play hold'em... Hold'em is a mind game for the most part and your mind is not in the right place at the moment...never play cards when your in a bad mood or feeling down on yourself cause that will project to your game and that's why your losing..
